New Fenders, Inner Fenders and
Air Deflectors finally installed. Only loose fit for now will tighten
fit and finish next time I get a chance. Current plan calls for
complete reassembly to drive this summer while I finish body work. I
will take it down again next winter for paint. I have a 56 grill and gravel pan to install next. |

The C4 tranny which came with the truck would not engage reverse. I bought a 93 Mustang AOD transmission for $100 off Ebay but picked it up locally. I figure I will need the overdrive anyway for the 3.89:1 Ford 9" gears. It should allow me to cruise on the freeway more comfortably. The tranny was installed in a day, my Dad came over and helped so we made quick work of the swap. After startup the new tranny shifts in all gears so it appears to be a success. Another weekend of Dad's help to install the new rebuilt 351W. |
